Killjoy's Turret Philosophy
Killjoy's Turret is her most essential ability. A well-placed turret provides continuous intel, drains enemy time and HP, and can even finish off low-HP opponents. But turret placement isn't static — it needs to adapt to the map, side, and current situation.
Core Turret Placement Principles
- Cover key lanes: The turret's line of fire should cover routes enemies must pass through
- Hard to quickly destroy: A good turret position forces enemies to expose themselves to a dangerous angle to take it out
- Crossfire with your position: The turret and your holding angle should form overlapping fields of fire
- Don't repeat placements: Never put your turret in the exact same spot two rounds in a row — opponents will pre-fire it
Defensive Turret Spots
Sunset
- A Site: Place on the back crates of A Site, covering A Main entrance. Pair with your holding position at Back Site for a crossfire
- B Site: Place on the elevated corner of B Site to cover both B Main and Market entrances
- Mid: Place at a high corner in Courtyard to gather intel on everything from Mid to A Short
Haven
- A Site: A Tower second-floor window, covering the full A Long route
- C Site: C Site corner, paired with your position at C Haven for a crossfire covering C Long
- Garage: Inside corner of the Garage entrance to give early warning of enemies pushing B through Garage
Offensive Turret Usage
On attack, Killjoy's turret is primarily used for intel and flank watch.
- Flank watch: Place a turret behind your attack route — if an enemy flanks, the turret alerts you
- Post-plant defense: After planting, immediately place a turret near the spike to assist in holding the post-plant
- Recon: Place turrets in uncertain corners to let the turret "scout" dangerous positions for you
Killjoy's turret has a hidden advantage: its shooting sound masks your movement audio. Time your repositioning with the turret's firing — enemies likely won't hear your footsteps over the gunfire.
